This is a spot I’m doing a post about strictly because I’ve been eating here forever. They’re right across the street from Bloomie’s which I work one block away from and live about six blocks away from. They don’t make the best pizza in the world, I dislike their pasta very much and I doubt [...]

When I worked downtown I was really lucky because we got to order Adrienne’s for staff meetings. Now that I’m on 59th street the only good pizza option is Patsy’s on East 60th street. Supposedly it’s affiliated with the spot on 117th street but it’s clearly not the same food. I’ve never been to that [...]

99% of time if there’s a guy standing on a corner with an arrow and a sign directing you to a restaurant, the restaurant sucks. Farinella is the anomaly. The dude who owns this place is a rapper from Naples named Alberto Polo Cretara and while I can’t co sign his rhymes because I haven’t [...]

I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to get it but for $3, “The Newman” made with sopressata and sweet Italian sausage on a white pie, on cornmeal dusted crust ain’t half bad. Two Boots Upper East Side – 1617 2nd avenue (At 84th Street) NY, 10028, (212) 734-0317

Artichoke The great pizza debate in NYC will live on as long as the city does and it is unfair for me to make a claim as to the pizza that I find to be the most authentic (aka Neopolitan) for that you’ll have to check out my friend and frequent contributer to Adam Kuban’s [...]

I’ve been working in the Financial District for about four and a half years and in January my department will be moving to East 59th street. I am both excited and sad for the move and some of the memories that will be left in my current office space. I’ll be posting a special “simply [...]

I am by no mean’s a fan of Ray’s Pizza but even I would find it hard to resist two slices and a can of Pepsi for $1.35. I wonder if they have a set limit per customer? I guess you could just go from location to location but really, who would want more than [...]

Living on the Upper East Side leaves me without a lot of reasonbly priced good food options. Most of the restaurants either suck or are insanely expensive so I usually eat elsewhere, cook or bring stuff back. One shining star and reliable standby for years for me has been John’s Pizza on East 64th Street. [...]
