A little bit before the Holiday’s there were pop up shops set up in Madison Square Park for a week or so which included a Hill Country BBQ booth as well as booths from some other NYC restaurants that I’ll mention in future posts. While nothing close to a full menu was available at Hill Country they did offer up they’re delicious Kreuz market sausage along with containers of pickles, bbq sauce and slices of white onions and white bread for a very fair $6.
I found the smoked garlic sausage to be excellent and it didn’t take long for me to figure out why Hill Country picked this as one of their menu items to showcase. I had wanted to visit Hill Country after they opened but the “no reservation” system and long lines that I heard about kept me away. Perhaps I will visit for lunch in the future.
