If you watched MTV during the late 80′s than you undoubtedly saw the video for Biz Markie’s hilarious “Just A Friend” the song became a hit not only because of Biz’s humorous flow or over emphasized chorus but also because the sample that was looped for the song is dope as fuck on it’s own.
Enter Freddie Scott who recorded “You Got What I Need” in 1968.
