So I’ve decided to hopefully add the last regular feature to this blog which will be “Nextflix/Flick Of The Bi-week” I expect to appear every other Sunday but just so everyone knows it will probably appear more sporadically than other features simply because I have a pretty important day job in the NYC corporate world that takes up a lot of my time and I’m working really hard to jam enough content on to this blog until I get some quality help. I’m going to make this easy though. Every other Sunday I will grade a flick from Netflix (or possibly my own DVD library if I fall behind on Netflix) and then explain my score in 100 words or less. I’m not fucking Roger Ebert, nor do I want to be be. I do like watching movies though and would like to comment on some.
The Informers
Grade: D
The Ellis novel of vignettes has been trashed by the sloppy adaption which used big names such as: Thorton, Renfro, Rourke and Bassinger to justify this jarred salsa of a movie. The father/son scenes in Hawaii which were my favorite part of the book are horribly acted and completely unbelievable. It only crawls up to a D because of the sex scenes which got me slightly aroused. Minus that and I would’ve cracked the DVD in half before I sent this piece of shit back.
