Beat Of The Day (Cage)

Most of you probably know Cage from his latest release “Depart From Me” and some of you probably remember him when attained underground cult status during the mid 90′s when he put out Radiohead and Clockwork Orange On Bobbito’s now defunct Fondle Em’ record label (both cuts produced by Necro.) I don’t dislike his new music as he seems to have really matured with it but there’s no doubt he was a lyrical demon when he was in his dark, depressed battle rhyme days. He also dissed Eminem before anyone ever heard of him by calling up the legendary Night Train radio show and telling DJ Eli that he never flicked M&M’s off of his balls but that was some new shit he was about to have a chick do. This is sick freestyle from 92′ or 93′ way before Cage ever had a record out. Spitting over Halftime dude shows you how lyrically talented he was, how fucking nuts he was and how ill he could battle. Now that I think about it in retrospect there’s a pretty good possibility that Cage was the first dude doing real horror core. Anyway check this shit out and enjoy, also give a listen to his new album. There’s no doubt that it’s different dope as fuck in it’s own right.
