This is where my banh mi love started, the little shop on Broome Street. Ownership has changed over the last couple of years and quality has slightly dipped. I’m not sure if they still make the best Vietnamese sandwich in the city (Baoguette and Nicky’s offer up serious competition and I’ll be visiting them both.) But the bottom line is that the nice sized #1 with grilled pork, Vietnamese salami and sliced pork on a warm and crunch baguette is still a pretty good sandwich for $3.50 (make sure you request it with fresh chili peppers instead of hot sauce) add a fresh coconut water and you’re officially chilling. When we have staff meetings at my office downtown I usually order these for the crew. Tell me if you know another boss that caters meetings with Vietnamese sandwiches?
